5

Coordination and coherence: Facilitating an Australian research data commons.

People and policy: Transforming culture and community.

Data and services: Maximising the value of Australia’s data assets.

Software and platforms: Enabling research insights and supporting collaboration.

Storage and compute: Providing foundation infrastructure.

A study is reproducible if you can take the original data and the computer code used

to analyze the data and reproduce all of the numerical findings from the study.

For the purposes of this policy, data include, but are not limited to, the following:

● Data used to generate, or be displayed in, figures, graphs, plots, videos, animations, or

tables in a paper.

● New protocols or methods used to generate the data in a paper.

● New code/computer software used to generate results or analyses reported in the paper.

● Derived data products reported or described in a paper.

Authors must make available upon request, to editors and reviewers, any previously

unreported custom computer code or algorithm used to generate results that are

reported in the paper and central to its main claims. Any reason that would

preclude the need for code or algorithm sharing will be evaluated by the editors who

reserve the right to decline the paper if important code is unavailable.
