Project  Overview    Forging  Online  Educa0on  through  FIRE  (FORGE)  is  a  project  bringing  the  FIRE  and  eLearning  worlds  together.  In  par0cular,  FORGE  will  align  FIRE  (Future  Internet  Research  and  Experimenta0on)  with  the  ongoing  educa0on  revolu0on  as  found  for  example  in  MOOCs.  FORGE  will  specify  development  methodologies  and  best  prac0ces  for  offering  FIRE  experimenta0on  facili0es  to  learners  and  to  the  learning  community  in  general.  FORGE  relates  to  communica0ons  and  IT,  as  well  as  to  other  disciplines  including  the  physical  and  social  sciences.  The  project  will  lead  to  a  strong  connec0on  between  the  learning  community  and  exis0ng  FIRE  plaIorms  and  suppor0ng  tools.
