• FAA conducted pilots of both Part 26 and 23 to test, correct and update any ineffectiveness or inefficiencies found.– 2004 - completed a successful pilot of Part 26 with

103 airport recipients from three (3) regions.– 2007 - completed a successful pilot of Part 23 with

58 primary airport recipients across the U.S.

DOORS – Benefits for Recipients• Includes basic instructions on all menus• Reduces report errors - allows automatic calculations of data• Provides history record of accomplishments

• Provides access to a selected DBE contractor or ACDBE concessions firm participation listing for the entire U.S.

• Provides link to DOT’s DBE website• Eliminates the need for submission of paper copy forms to

report generation and simplifies trend analyses.• Provides an easier, more efficient method of recording

DBE and ACDBE data for all FAA regions.• Provides national compilation reports.• Provides unique data reports.• Quick and easy report retrieval to respond to OST/DOT.

Availability-Time frames-Deadlines

• Cutoff date for entering data for the current year is June 1st

• Part 26 reports due December 1 (FAA)• Part 23 reports due March 1 (FAA)

• Before logging in, we recommend re-booting your computer and/or clearing your internet cache (clears and resets your internet connections)• Go to Tools – Internet Options – Click: Delete Cookies

– Delete Files and Clear History

New User Accounts• Your request for a new user account must be

approved by your Regional FAA Program Manager– Also, if you add recipients to our account

• You will receive an email message when your account is approved.

• Once it is approved you can begin entering data in DOORS.

Passwords• Passwords must be reset every 90 days.• Please keep your current password available

for the next time you logon to DOORS• Once you logon, if it’s past 90 days,

DOORS will prompt you to reset your password– If you are not able to reset your password,

changes and Select: Save Changes. • However, you are not required to keep the recipient

information account updated.

DOORS - What’s next ?• DOT currently reviewing DOORS to investigate

integrating with other modes and systems– Creating new application to include all DBE modes,

FAA, FHWA and FTA and their recipients– Considering adding a goal setting program– Looking into creating a Uniform System of tracking

prime and sub data for Grant Recipients and integrating with DOORS
