Fashion in the 70’s for women were all about the:• High waist pants/skirts• Maxi/mini skirts• Prints and floral patterns, tiedye• Bellbottoms (jeans became socially acceptable)• Empire-line dresses• Halter tops• Big blow dried hair (made popular by Farrah Fawcett)• Make-up consisted of natural skin tones and dramatic eyes (shimmering eye

shadows were very popular)

Fashion in the 70’s for men were all about:• Bellbottoms• Plaid/floral patterns• Colored pants• Long flowing hair• Matching jacket/pant suits• Penny loafers/disco shoes

1980’s Women’s Styles

Fashion in the 80’s for women consisted of:• Colorful pants• Spandex• Leg warmers, heels, ripped stockings/fishnets• Over sized shirts• Bright make-up (usually matched the scrunchie)• Big Jewelry• Huge teased hair

1980’s Men’s Styles

Fashion in the 80’s for men consisted of:• Bright eye-catching colors• Metallic sports jackets• Bleached jean jackets• Baggy multi colored pants• Vests• Big hair usually teased• Converse/Vans shoes

Fashion in the 90’s for men consisted of:• Big baggy multi colored sweaters/sweatshirts• Hats• Baggy pants and sagging jeans• Acid-washed cuffed jean jackets• Loose fitting matching pant suits• High Waist Pants with tucked in shirt• Converse, Nikes, running shoes, penny loafers

2000’s Women’s Styles

Fashion in the 2000’s consisted of:• Flannels• Lace• Bellbottoms, loose fitting jeans• High waists• Tucked in shirts• Maxi skirts, halter tops• Natural make-up, bob hairstyle, long natural hair

2000’s Men’s Styles

In the 2000’s it really starts to blend with the style we know now however fashion trends then were:• Men’s scarves • Skinny jeans and pants• More form fitting suits • Sneakers that weren’t as big as running sneakers like Vans• Hair was either messy or clean cut

2010-Present Women’s Styles

Fashion nowadays for women includes:• Bright colors and bold patterns• Lace, see-through material• Mini/maxi dresses and skirts• Scarf dresses• Bold shoes• Colored pants• Airy and light materials • Dresses without much shape to them

2010-Present Men’s Styles

Fashion trends for men nowadays include:• Very put together outfits• Sports jackets• Business attire is usually very sharp• Looser pants (not too skinny, not too baggy)• Bright sneakers• Sweaters• Flannels
