Mental illness is a medical condi on that disrupts a person’s thinking, feeling, mood, ability to relate to others and daily func oning. One in five families has a member with a diagnosable mental illness.

The Mental Health Ministry of St. Ma hew’s Catholic Church partners with the Archdiocese of San Francisco to offer support for families in the parish that are experiencing mental health challenges. By interfacing with county, local non-profit, and private mental health providers, Catholic families will be introduced to healing professionals and services able to facilitate their healing journeys.

Catechists are needed for our various Religious Education Programs What's involved in being a Catechist? To be a catechist is to have a vocation – a call from God. As a catechist, you'll plan, assist and teach a small class throughout the year. You will be provided with training, resources to help you plan your lessons such as textbooks, supplemental materials and online resources. Each class has two cate-chists and a teen assistant when possible. If you are interested sign up below.
