Journals

Ray Bradbury uses figurative language throughout the novel to create images in the reader’s mind. Evaluate the author’s purpose in using the images of Clarisse and what Clarisse might represent in this society.

When Montag is trying to memorize the Bible, the information falls through him like sand through a sieve. The society that is portrayed by Bradbury is unable to retain information. Why? Justify your response with at least two examples from the novel.

Compare Beatty’s speech and Faber’s speech. Analyzing both the motivation behind each and the purpose for each, discuss the similarity or differences between the two.
