Lobby with interactive digital screens, rotating educational displays for patients and families, large video screen with key info, live feed from the Aquarium

Multiple playrooms, including a teen room in the Adolescent Unit equipped with thelatest electronics, and a neutropenic playroom for immune-compromised children
Ronald McDonald Family Lounge, which offers respite for families of children with extended hospitalizations

Dedicated pediatric procedure suite adjacent to the Imaging and Interventional Radiology departments
Separate unit for adolescent medicine that meets the unique needs of teens
Outdoor garden with meditative and play spaces
Computer- and Wi-Fi-enabled classrooms so children can keep up with schoolwork

Bedside-operated LED lights that allow kids to change the color of their walls and have control overtheir environment
Large flat-panel TVs in each room, with age-appropriate games and education videos geared toward the childs diagnosis
Treatment rooms on each unit so patient rooms remain fear-free comfort zones
Sophisticated communication and call systems for families, nursing staff and physicians
High-tech, 24/7 monitoring that includes both telemetry and nurse observation
High-tech security to ensure only authorized persons can enter the childs room
A sophisticated electronic medical record (EMR) that includes safeguards for medication safety
Computers in each room for secure electronic charting
