Expressing Goodwill when someone is arriving.

Nageswar Rao. A Teacher of English.

Hi! Siri, what a surprise! Welcome, come in.

Hi! Ramani, how are you? How are the things moving?

It’s good to meet you.

Very nice. I have come to remind about my happy birthday. It is tomorrow. You must come without fail.

Oh! Is it necessary to remind me? It’s good to meet you at your home on this alleged reason.

My mother specially wanted you to be present at the party. Ok, I have to take leave as I have a long list of friends yet to invite.

It’s good to see you again.

We use the following phrases to express goodwill when someone is arriving:

Welcome. Welcome back. Come in.

It’s good to meet you. It’s good to see you again.
