Early Life

Abel Tasman was born in 1603 in

Lutegast, Holland.

Abel Tasman was married to Claesgle Meyndrix. He had a

daughter named Claesjen.

Abel Tasman’s first job was a

sailor for the Dutch East India Company.

Abel Tasman left for his first voyage in 1642 he got given

two ships.He was the first

European to land in a new land, which he

called Nuew Zeeland.
