ExpositionIt was the last day at the college where Rukumani and Devanayagam spend their last moments together before they head off to their respective hometowns.

Rising actionRukumani face a lot of things at home. she cant write letters to Devanayagam as she is afraid that her family might find out. She got into more trouble when Johnny, her chinese friend visited her house causing her family to think that they werent just friends.

ClimaxHer father started crying and her mother threathens to kill herself

Rukumani confessed that she is inlove with Devanayagam

Falling ActionWhen her family found out that Devanayagam was Rukumani's lover, they decided to not let her marry him as her mother stated that she has "undone all their work" which is choosing the one she marries.

DenouementBoth families met and Deva's family was also shocked to know that their son had had a secret over all the time. Decision was made and the marriage was canceled.

Deva got a letter from his father stating how disappointed they are by their actions.
