How does your media product represent social groups ?

• My music magazine represents different social groups .

• One being a big age group of artists. This means that the audience of my magazine will be a big age group to.

• Another is the magazine is made more towards females with there only being one female in my music magazine and the rest making it more male dominated.

What kind of media institution might distribute my media product and

why ? • I have chosen Bauer to distribute my product• The reasons are they already distribute music

magazines such as Q , kerrang and Mojo .

• Bauer are a UK based company• They own more than eighty brands • They have there own TV channel • They also have their own radio station • They are as two divisions radio and magazines• They also sell magazines which are not just music such as heat

The media institution I don’t want to distribute my product Is

• Vibe media • Vibe media is a company that mainly sell R&B

and Hip hop magazines such as Vibe. • They are also a USA based company

Who would be the audience for my media product ?

• The audience of my music magazine would be varied such as pop fans because all the music is pop.

• Because of the artists being different ages it means my music would be towards their same ages, such as 13 to 30.

How did I attract/address your audience ?

• I attract my audience in different ways. I looked at what my audience said about what they find appealing for music magazines.

• So to attract my audience I used.........

• Good colour schemes • Made an interesting article• Made interesting artists feature in it• Good locations for my images • Interesting camera angles and shots for my

images.

What have I learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this

product ?

• I have learnt quiet a bit about constructing technologies these are

• How to use a camera correctly and get the most out of taking images

• I have learnt how to use Indesign and Photoshop correctly .

• I have learnt how to create a blog and over time put posts on about different aspects of my music magazine.

• I have learnt how to use the internet in different ways such as making a blog, looking at previous music magazines and look at different distribution companies who could distribute my music magazine.

Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full

product ? • I feel that I have learnt a lot from one I first did my

preliminary task for example here is both my preliminary task front cover and my music magazine

• I have learnt how to analyse actual music magazines. Also how to analyse school magazines which was for the preliminary task.

• How to use and get audience research to create an authentic music magazine

• I have learnt how to use indesign and Photoshop.

• I have learnt how to take better images and which locations to use for them.

• I have learnt how to use the internet in different ways such as for audience research, and making a blog.
