Installing the Mobile App

Open the App Store

Type “epocrates” into the search box & choose the result from the dropdown menu.

Tap the “Free” option next to Epocrates, then tap the green “Install”

If prompted, enter your Apple ID password.

You now need to activate Epocrates for your device. Tap the “Epocrates” icon to open the app.

When you open Epocrates, you may be asked about “Push Notifications.” Choose whichever option you

prefer (you can always change it later).

To start using Epocrates, you will need to create a free account.

Fill in the account information, preferably using your MCW email address. Once you have filled in the required fields, tap the

“Join” button in the upper right corner.

Epocrates also has expanded content (“Essentials”) for a cost. You do not need this extra content (although you may purchase

it if you’d like). Click “Not Now” to access the free content.

On the next screen, tap the “Launch” icon to enter the app.

At this point, the Epocrates iPad app will download all the updated content, which will be available offline. An Internet

connection is required for updates.

When you first enter the app, you’ll be given a “Tour.” You can exit the tour at any time by tapping the “Done” button.

To make sure the app is current, tap the gear icon in the upper right corner, and then tap the “Update” button.

You have completed the installation for this app!
