Description of Mural ArtA little boy is reaching for a hole in the wall. He appears to be standing on a chair and inching himself as high as he could reach. A cup of coffee places on the hole. The boy is curious of what are the things inside the hole. It is probably because of smelling of coffee from that hole, triggering his senses. Owing to he is short, so he cannot take the coffee. He tried to make him taller by standing on a chair.
How artist portrays his message? The street art of Georgetown and his wall paintings represent characters and scenes that celebrate the energy and playfulness of life in the inner city. Those murals in Penang have in fact transformed what used to be normal streets into more unusual, lively, witty and engaging ones.

‘Art is Rubbish is Art’ is the very first solo art exhibition of Ernest Zacharevic which held at the Hin Company Bus Depot, Georgetown and opened to the public from 19th January till 14 February, 2014. This exhibition features thirty pieces of artworks, comprising wall murals, painting and 3D arts.
By turning it into an arts and events space, Ernest Zacharevic hopes to bridge the gap between the old
and the new Penang through his art. The free-admissions solo art exhibition is an ambitious project
that highlights broad concepts of recycling - both intellectual and material. Drawing from the concept
of ‘one man’s rubbish is another man’s treasure’.
