LOCATION

Located in a town named Bomarzo in

the Umbria region in Central Italy.

HISTORICAL BACKGROUND

Prince Pier Francesco Orsini returned from a brutal war only to

have his wife die.

Soon, he created the park with Pirro Ligorio as a way of expressing his

grief in 1552.

In 1954, the park was in ruins.

Salvador Dali rediscovered the park after 300 years in 1938 and

restored it in the 1950s.

In a small town called Bomarzo, Italy, the woods are full of

monsters.
