• 885,307 EMS incidents in 2018 (2,426/day)

• 1 out of every 5 citizens in contact with EMS annually

• Patients 50+ years old accounted for 68% of all EMS incidents

TRAINING

Emergency Medical Responder (EMR)

50 Hours Provide basic immediate lifesaving interventions

Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

150 Hours Basic stabilization and safely transport patients

Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT)

400 Hours Basic and advanced stabilization and safely transport patients

Paramedic (EMTP) 2,000 Hours Advanced care for critical and emergent patients
