Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord from the heavens; Praise Him, all His angels;

Lobt den Herrn im Himmel! Lobt ihn in der Höhe! Lobt ihn, all seine Engel!

Praise Him, sun and moon; Praise Him, all you stars of light!

Lobt ihn, Sonne und Mond! Lobt ihn, ihr funkelnden Sterne!

Praise Him, heavens of heavens, And you waters above the heavens! Praise the name of the Lord, For He commanded and they were created.

Lobt ihn, alle Himmel! Lobt ihn, ihr Wasser, die ihr über dem Himmel seid! Sie sollen den Namen des Herrn loben, denn er hat es befohlen, und alles wurde geschaffen.

Praise the Lord from the earth, You great sea creatures and all the depths;

Lobt den Herrn auf der Erde, Ihr Fische des Meeres und ihr tiefen Ozeane,

Fire and hail, snow and clouds; Stormy wind, fulfilling His word;

Feuer und Hagel, Schnee und Sturm, Wind und Wetter, die ihm gehorchen,

Mountains and all hills; Fruit trees and all cedars;

Berge und alle Hügel, Obstbäume und Zedern,

Beasts and all cattle; Creeping things and birds;

Wilde Tiere und Vieh, Reptilien und Vögel,

Kings of the earth and all peoples; princes and judges of the earth; Young men and maidens; Old men and children.

Könige der Erde und alle Völker, Herrscher und Richter der Erde, Junge Männer und junge Frauen, Alte wie junge Menschen.

Let them praise the name of the Lord, For His name alone is exalted; His glory is above the earth and heaven.

Alle sollen den Namen des Herrn loben. Denn allein sein Name ist groß Und sein Ruhm überragt Erde und Himmel!
