• 2nd Semester Freshman• Before this semester I thought I would be a Mechanical

Engineer• After taking this course, I’m switching to CE (Hardware)• I feel that this class has introduced me to applications

of coding• I’m very interested in the Machine Intelligence Lab• I want to invent the next “big” thing.• Advice: Wage an all out war against

procrastination.

Serena Tarneja

• 2nd Semester Freshman• I am an Industrial & Systems Engineering major.• Even though this class was really fun and interesting, I

don’t think I will be changing my major.• This class introduced me to coding, which is

something I have never done before and even though it was challenging, it was really rewarding once I saw the robot complete the course.

• After graduation: I have no idea what I want to do but hopefully I’ll have a job.

• Advice: Live in a dorm at least one year.

Richard Tyburski

• 2nd semester freshman.• I was a chemical engineering major, but now I am

a mechanical engineering major with an electrical engineering minor.

• This class made me very interested in circuitry and made me want to minor in EE.

• After graduation, I want to move back to Virginia and work for General Electric as a head engineer.

• Advice: You only have four years of college: go crazy.

Story of Jaws

• He’s been travelling across the vast ocean to satisfy his hunger.

• Jaws spots a lone boat, lost at sea.

• Humans slow Jaws with Harpoons

• Jaws ignores them and demolishes boat

• Consumes people.

Conclusions

• UF should invest in smoother tables.• The class has been a fun opener to robots.• Robots are cool.
