Why a Weekend Executive MS in Business Analytics & Information Systems?
About the Program
Leadership
The Weekend Executive Master of Science in Business Analytics & Information Systems will help working professionals take their career to the next level. This is a technical business degree, which covers both the technology related to business intelligence and the managerial aspects of implementing these technologies in organizations. The coverage of big data, data science, and information technology strategies is designed to accelerate students’ professional growth towards technology leadership positions.
This 16-month weekend program accommodates students’ busy work schedules by blending face-to-face and online content. It consists of 11 courses and a project/independent study. One of the strongest analytics and business intelligence-focused curricula in the nation, it offers six advanced, data-focused courses in addition to an 12-month long project.
In-person meetings take place from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., held on alternate Saturdays in downtown Tampa at the Center for Advanced Medical Learning and Simulation (CAMLS). USF’s School of Information Systems and Management faculty are known for their academic and professional accomplishments, most having extensive, full-time work experience in government and non-government organizations.
The total program fee is $29,700. This includes all academic fees, breakfast, lunch and refreshments during class hours, and parking.
Due to the IT industry’s fast-paced environment, new technologies create unique challenges for managers, shifting their roles and responsibilities. In order for these leaders to strive, they need to integrate employees’ multiple technical skills into a more engaged, collaborative environment to grow successful businesses.
Laura Delaney, Business Intelligence Associate at PerkSpot
When I was researching MS programs to further my career in business intelligence, the USF Weekend Executive MS BAIS program was my first choice. I was attracted to
the program’s versatile curriculum, varying levels of experience within the cohort and accommodation to my work schedule. The weekend classes provided me with exposure
to relevant software and tools, knowledge from those more senior in the analytics industry and an independent project to integrate knowledge from all the courses. This
program has given me a more comprehensive view of how business analytics and information systems are shaping modern businesses, which has accelerated my career.
