What is Educational Technology ?

Educational technology• (also called learning

technology) is the study and ethical practice of facilitating learning and improving performance by creating, using and managing appropriate technological processes and resources

When does it start??

• Technology cam be traced back as early as during the ancient civilization when man used pointed sticks to inscript signs and symbols on the leaves.

• Led to two major still popular designs. Skinner’s work led to “programmed instruction” focusing on the formulation of behavioral objectives , breaking instructional content into small units and rewarding correct responses early and often

• Produce a variety of schools that can be put under the umbrella of the label Computer-based learning (CBL). Frequently base on constructive and cognitivist learning theorist.

What are the development done by the technology in

education??

The classroom environment today is completely different from the traditional classroom we're all used to years ago. The introduction of new technologies, such as document cameras, interactive whiteboards and classroom response systems, have added not only excitement but student engagement and true interactivity within the classroom.

What are the benefits can we get ??

Technology continues to expand its beneficial influence into better communication and interaction between teachers and students from all across the globe, better instructional materials that reach out to more people than ever, and better information transfer at lightning speed, among other things.
