EL SINGÀS.

• Puede convertirse en metanol con un catalizador de óxido de zinc/óxido de cromo.

THE SINGER.

• It can become a catalyst in methanol with zinc oxide / chromium oxide.

El metanol.• Puede convertirse a su vez en

gasolina haciendo que su vapor pase por catalizadores hechos con zeolitas , que son silicatos de aluminio en los que se abren unas grandes cavidades.

EN BUGGEMUN Y HOLANDA.

• Esta la mayor planta de gasificación de carbón del mundo ; convierte al DIA 2,000 toneladas de carbón en singàs , que genera 250 megawatios de potencia.

El GAS DE CHIMENEA.

El SINGÀS PUEDE TAMBIEN CONVERTIRSE EN METANOL.

• Un liquido que hierve a los 65 grados y que sirve como combustible de los motores de coches.

LA DEMANDA MUNDIAL DE METANOL.

• Pasa a hora de los 20 millones de toneladas al año ,

que en su mayor parte se añaden a la gasolina sin

plomó , en cuya composición hay alrededor de un 5% de

metanol.

LA COMBUSTIÓN.

• La combustión incompleta produce contaminantes –

hidrocarburos , monóxido de carbono y la luz solar actúa

entonces sobre el combustible que no séqueme y forma más

contaminantes desagradables.

CADA INVIERNO 29 CIUDADES.• Estadounidenses pasan a utilizar una

gasolina que contiene un 15% de MTBE. Algunos dicen que aumenta el nivel de otros contaminantes , como el formaldehido , en los gases de escape , y otros lo acusan de poner en peligro la salud y causar dolores de cabeza , somnolencia , irritación de ojos y náusea .
