Gaziantep • Demographic pressure:

1.6 million inhabitants in 2010. 2.6 Million expected in 2025.

• Strong investment policy by Metropolitan Municipality of Gaziantep for sustainable urban growth.

• Completion in 2011 of a Climate Action Plan (technically led by BURGEAP) with funding support of AFD.

• The eco-district of Killis road is a key project identified by MMG to reach CAP targets

3297 ha divided into 4 zones.

Ambition and vision of the eco- zone The target is FASEP the heart of Zone A (MIA). • The ambition for sustainable

development: (a) Propose a living area in response to

population pressure; (b) Mastering the energy demand of new city’s development; (c) Master the GHG emissions of the city extension; (d) Use of renewable energy sources; (e) Sustainable management of water resources; (f) To promote innovation through an appropriate regulatory framework. Master plan designed by EG architects.
