Provides discounts to assist most school and libraries in the U.S. to obtain affordable telecommunications and Internet access

What does it exactly fund?

Funding can be requested for:Telecommunications servicesInternet accessInternal ConnectionsBasic maintenance of internal

connections

How much of a discount?

20% to 90% of the costs of eligible servicesDepends on the level of poverty and the

urban/rural status of the population served

Applicants must provide additional resources- computers, telephones, software, and any other equipment needed to utilize connectivity

The STaR chart is a tool used for technology planning, budgeting for resources, and evaluation of local technology projects.

The results are used as a formative and/or summative evaluation tool.
