Synchronous events take place in real time. Synchronous communication between two people requires them to both be present at a given time but they are separated from each other physically .Examples are chat, video and audio conference, live webcasting, and virtual classrooms.
ASYNCHRONOUS LEARNING
Asynchronous events are time-independent. A self-paced course is an example of Asynchronous Learning and the trainer and learner are free to decide when to use the courseware . Examples of asynchronous communication tools E-mail, CD, stored audio or video web presentation or discussion forums .
