Rationale:

The Shared Service Facility (SSF)

project was launched by the

Department of Trade and Industry in

order to increase the productivity of

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.

The strategy is to provide machinery and equipment that could be shared amongMSMEs in the area where the

SSF will be established.

2. Eligible Facility :

- addresses processing and/ or manufacturing gaps or bottlenecks

―total absence of needed facility

―lack of capacity of existing facility

―monopolized pricing

- must be supportive to the identified priority industry clusters

- increase industry cluster productivity— product improvement— quality enhancement— marketability— price competitiveness— conformity to standards

2.6. CHECKLIST FOR SSF ELIGIBILITY

- The proposed facility will serve existing industry cluster and not “GREENFIELDS” nor “START Ups”

- The proposed facility has an “ELIGIBLE COOPERATOR” defined as: Juridical entities such as NGOs, cooperatives, industry associations, academic institutions, exporters/buyer groups who have been in existence as follows:

a) For a facility of less than P1M = 2 yrs. existence b) For a facility of more than P1M = 5 yrs. existence

Capable of providing counterpart support in terms of:a) suitable site and buildingb) support personnelc) cash flow to support 1 month initial operations
