Dress Code8th Grade Formal

The following are NOT ALLOWED. You will not be allowed in the dance if you are not following the dress code.

Girl’s Dress Code

No two-piece dresses

Two - Piece dresses are not allowed. No midriffs should be seen.

No open back dresses

Dresses should be six inches above the natural waistline, or higher. No open back dresses unless covered by a cardigan, shawl, wrap, or bolero jacket that covers all skin AT ALL TIMES.

No short dresses

Dresses cannot be shorter than 3 inches above the knee.

No geometric cut outs

We should not see any skin

below the chest or 3 inches

above the knee.

No deep V necklines

The drop of the neck is at or above the top of the bust. No cleavage.

Minimum length slits

Dress slits cannot be higher than 3 inches above the knee.

No strapless dresses

All dresses must have straps over both shoulders, or sleeves. No strapless dresses.

No flip flops

All heels, sandals, flats, wedges, must have a back strap.

Boy’s Dress Code

No Jeans

Jeans are not allowed.

No Joggers

Joggers are not allowed.

No shorts

Shorts are not allowed. You will be turned away.

No t-shirts

T-shirts are not allowed.

This is semi-formal dress attire. Dresses need to be of appropriate length and CUT-OUTS are not allowed. Guys wear dress pants, shirt and a tie (optional). If a female students chooses not to wear a dress they are to wear a pant suit and abide by the boys dress code. NO tennis shoes or flip flops allowed! If unsure, please ask an administrator or teacher.
