    Dothiora corymbiae Crous, sp. nov. Etymology.NamereferstoCorymbia, the host genus from which this funguswasisolated.

    Classification—Dothideaceae, Dothideales, Dothideomycetes.

    Conidiomata pycnidial, separate, obovoid, papillate, brown, with centralostiole,100–150µmdiam;wallof4–8layersofbrowntextura angularis. Conidiophores reduced to conidiogenous cells lining the inner cavity, ellipsoid, hyaline, polyphialidic, with1–3lociperconidiogenouscell,5–10×4–5µm.Conidia solitary, hyaline, smooth, guttulate, subcylindrical with obtuse ends,straight,4–5×2µm;oncedischargedonto theagarsurface, conidia turn brown, and become swollen, thick-walled, ellipsoid,5–6×3–4µm. Culturecharacteristics—Coloniesslimy,yeast-like,spread-ing, with sparse aerial mycelium and feathery, lobate margin, reaching50mmdiamafter2wkat25°C.OnMEAsurfacesepia,reversehazel.OnPDAsurfaceandreversesepia.OnOAsurfacehazeltofawn.

    Notes—DothiorawasrecentlytreatedbyCrous&Groene-wald (2016,2017).Ascostromata were shown to lack pseu-doparaphyses, have bitunicate asci with hyaline, transversely septateascospores(rarelywithverticalsepta).Conidiomataare pycnidial, conidiophores reduced to hyaline, phialidic coni- diogenous cells, and conidia aseptate, hyaline, smooth, sub- cylindrical to ovoid or oblong, forming a hormonema-like synasexualmorph.Thepresentcollectionisthusbestaccom-modated in Dothiora.BasedonamegablastsearchofNCBIsGenBanknucleotide database, the closest hits using the ITSsequencehadhigh-est similarity to Neocylindroseptoria pistaciae (GenBankKF251152.1; Identities=512/577 (89%), 37 gaps (6%)),Do thiora sorbi (GenBankMH860401.1; Identities=509/590(86%), 42 gaps (7%)) andKabatina thujae (GenBankMH858858.1; Identities=484/555 (87%), 38 gaps (6%)).Closest hits using the LSUsequenceareDothiora ceratoniae (GenBankMH872233.1;Identities=818/839(97%),3gaps(0%)),Dothiora schizospora(GenBankMH868980.1;Identities=817/839(97%),2gaps(0%))andDothiora cactacearum (GenBankKY929177.1; Identities=817/839 (97%), 2gaps(0%)).
