The Isle of Man - is an island located in the

Irish Sea. It is the same distance away from  England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. Its area is 572 km ².

The symbol of the Isle of Man is triskelion which is three running legs that go from one point. 

Triskelion, a symbol of stability, is reflected in the motto of the island.

Manx, the original language, is also spoken by  two percent of the population.

The smallest model car in the world «Peel P50» was manufactured on the Isle of Man from 1962 to 1965.

It is very interesting that horse trams have been the part of the public

transport system in the capital since 1876.

A unique type of cat which has short hair and no tail has been bred on the island.

There are two versions of why these cats have no

tail. According to a legend, the unsuccessful

cat was late for landing in Noah's Ark, and Noah, closing a door, casually

clamped her tail. Actually, the reason is not

so amusing. A skeletal mutation - complete

tailless - became a sign of new breed.
