Overview: What is the DIA Green Light Report? • The DIA Green Light Report (GLR) is an online summary of Data Integrity Audit outcomes for a group. Each report features drill‐down capability to facility and resident‐level details.  

• Benefits of using the GLR include: • Easy access to MDS data for multiple facilities• Aggregated display of facility performance for 

– Data Integrity Audit (DIA)– MDS File Submission (Submission Compliance)

Overview: Create Reports

To access Green Light Report (GLR), use the dropdown menus to:Choose a Category – Specific categories will depend on your active products.Select a Measure – Select a performance measure. The “Measure” list updates based on the selected Category.Select a Time Period – The reporting period is one month and includes all assessments with and Assessment Reference Date (ARD) within the reporting month.

Overview: Performance Score RangeThe Green Light Report (GLR) scores facility performancePerformance Score Range - The reports display color-coded categories based on the facility score:

Red = needs improvementYellow = average performance Green = top performers

The Performance Score Range can be customized using the Red and Green dropdown menus.The system remembers the most recent changes made to the range.

The “Number of Facilities” columns display the number of facilities by division or region within each score range.

Note: Specific scoring details are presented later in this tutorial.

Access the Green Light Report

• The following slides will guide you through the steps for accessing the DIA GLR – Step One: Login to PointRight– Step Two: Select the Report you want to see– Step Three: Review the Reports

If you have management permissions you will be able to view the Green Light Report from the “Location” and “Products” pages.  

Depending on your role and permissions, you may also be able to drill‐down to Resident level details.

Step One: Login to PointRight

                                          1.  Go to: 

www.pointright.com                                                     2.  Click Client Login

The password is case sensitive!

Step 2: Access the Green Light Report1. Click the “Location” tab to access 

your Corporate facility list1. Click the “Location” tab to access

3. Select “Products” and click to view the Products page

Green Light Reports (GLRs) are available for each of the products that are activated for your Corporation.  Select the GLR you want to see from the Products list.  

On this screen we have selected the DIA Green Light Report.

DIA Green Light Report: Overview

The DIA Green Light Report enables users to examine group and facility Data Integrity Performance Scores based on first and final submissions, for the selected time period.

Components of the DIA Green Light Report include:

• Multiple Performance Measures and customizable Time Period for eachCategory

• Customizable Performance Score comparison ranges

• Group/Facility reporting capabilities

DIA Green Light Report: Categories

The DIA Category is the default DIA Green Light Report.

You can also select File Submission to view the percent of MDS submissions for the selected month.

DIA Green Light Report: MeasuresThe DIA Measure defaults to the “First Submission Performance (Overall)”.

To view results for another measure, select that measure from the dropdown menu. Measures include “First” and “Final” Submission Performance for Overall and by MDS Section.

Note:

If your group has DIA with Exception Reporting, you will also have an option to review “Final Performance Before Explanations”

DIA Green Light Report: Time PeriodThe Time Period defaults to the most recently calculated one-month time period.

To view results for another time period, select it from the “Period” dropdown menu. The screen updates automatically.

DIA Green Light Report: Performance ScoreThe Performance Score is based on the number of data integrity issues relative to the total number of assessments submitted. This number is compared to other PointRight Data Integrity Audit users to calculate the Performance Score.

• Performance can be displayed as a Score or a Rate %.

• Measures can be displayed by “First” and “Final” MDS Submissions for Overall Performance, and also for performance by MDS section.

Performance Score Range - The DIA Green Light Report displays color-coded categories based on the Performance Score Range:

• Red = needs improvement. Default range is 0 – 40• Yellow = average performance. Default range is 41 – 79• Green = top performers. Default range is 80-100

The Performance Score Range can be customized using the Red and Green dropdown menus.

The system remembers the most recent changes made to the Performance Score Range.

The Performance Score compares your group’s facilities with other facilities from the PointRight National Group, and ranks them in a Score Range from 0 -100.

•A higher score indicates a goodperformance relative to the comparison group.

•A lower score indicates poorerperformance relative to the comparison group.

Note: You can customize the Performance Score within the red or green ranges using the dropdown menus. The yellow mid- range updates automatically. The system remembers the last range you selected.

The Rate (%) is the percent of assessments with issues compared to the total number of assessments for the selected time period.

Rate ranges correspond to the percent of assessments with issues for the selected Measure.

Select the “Performance Rate” radio button to view this range.

Tip: To ensure accurate reports, use the File Submission category to check submission compliance for the selected time period.

Click on a facility name to view contributing score details using the DIA Summary Report for the selected facility.

Print the DIA Green Light ReportRoll the mouse icon over the Print tabSelect Print Report from this Page

A printable version of the report page will be generated in a new

window.

Click the Print button in the printable window to print.

DIA Green Light Report: Tips for SuccessUse the DIA Green Light Report to:• Identify facilities with a low score or pattern of decline

• Identify facilities, regions and districts in need of further investigation

• Use drill‐down to review facility‐level data integrity triggers– Identify sections of MDS with most opportunity for improvement

– Identify recurrent/prevalent DIA triggers – Identify potential reimbursement impact
