Step1: 8th of Dhul Hajjah (Yawmut-Tarwiyah) 1- Enter State of Ihram 2- Make intention for Hajj

Here I am O Allah, (in response to Your call) making Hajj. 3- Standing face the Qiblah recite the Talbiyah:

Laba’ik, Allahumma labaiyk. Labaiyka la shareeka laka

labaiyk. Innal-Hamda wa ni’imata, laka wal-Mulk. Laa

shareeka lak

“Here we come, O Allah, here we come! Here we come.

You have no partner! Here we come! Indeed, Praise and

blessings, are Yours and the Kingdom too! You have no

partner!”

Step2: 8th of Dhul Hajjah (Go to Mina): Between the time period after Fajr until before Duhr go to Mina (preferably in Morning) Stay in Mina

♦ Pray Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib and ‘Isha at Mina.

♦ Engage in Ibadah (worship) all day.

Step3: 9th Dhul of Hajjah (Yawmul Arafah)

♦ Pray Fajr in Mina.

♦ Go to Arafat any time after sunrise. ‘Arafah is a standing place. Facing the Qiblah, with raised hands, supplicate and also recite the Talbiyah, seek forgiveness until sunset.

♦Pray Dhuhr & Asr, combined and shortened, at Arafah.

♦ After sunset go to Muzdalifah

Step4: 9th of Dhul Hajjah (Muzdalifah)

♦ Pray Maghrib & Isha together at Muzdalifah.

♦ In Muzdalifah or Mina, collect 70 pebbles for stoning.

♦ Rest/ Sleep until Fajr.

Step5: 10th of of Dhul Hajjah (Yawmun-Nahr)

♦ Pray Fajr in Muzdalifah.

♦ Leave for Mina just before sunrise. Calmly proceed to Jamaratul-’Aqabah for stoning. Facing the Jamarah, with Makkah to your left and Mina to your right, throw seven

stones at the Jamarah, reciting - هللا أكب Allahu Akbar

(Allah is Greater)

Step6: 10th of Dhul Hajjah Perform Udhiya (Sacrifice) If a sacrificial ticket has been purchased, you will be inform by the group leader that sacrifice has been done on your behalf.

Step7: 10th of Dhul Hajjah (Shave/Trim Hair) After the sacrifice, Men: shaving head is preferable, or cut hair equally from all over head; Women: cut one-third finger length of hair.

♦ Remove Ihram, as restrictions are now lifted (not all but partial). Go to Makkah to perform Tawaaful Ifaadah

Step8: 10th of Dhul Hajjah (Tawaaful Ifaadah) ➢ On the way to Makkah recite Talbiyyah ➢ Make sure you are in the state of Wudu before

entering Majid Al Haram ➢ Enter Masjid Al haram with right foot and recite: In the name of Allah, O Allah send prayers and Peace upon Muhammad, O Allah, open the doors of Your Mercy for me. ➢ Make intention for the Tawaf. ➢ men only - uncover right shoulder by placing Ihram

underneath right arm-pit ➢ When beginning each circuit, make a sign with

your right hand towards al-Hajarul-Aswad (The

Black Stone) and recite – هللا أكب Allahu Akbar (Allah is

Greater)

♦ Once Tawaaf is complete, men cover their right shoulder and offer 2 rakaats anywhere behind the Station of Ibrahim– or anywhere in the Haram: Recite Surat al-Kafirun in 1st raka’a and Surat al-Ikhlas in the 2nd raka’a.

♦ Drink Zam-Zam water – Make Du’aa

Step9: 10th of Dhul Hajjah (Sa’ee) Begin Sa’ee at as-Safa. Complete walk from as- Safa to al-Marwah (one circuit), then al-Marwah to as-Safa (second circuit) and continue for seven circuits, finishing at al-Marwah. Upon encountering green lights, men only - run from one light to other light. Each time you complete one round (Safa and Marwah) raise your hand for Duaa and seek forgiveness from Allah.

Step10: 11th-13th Dhul Hajjah (Stay in Mina: Stone Jamraat) ➢ From the time period between after Zawaal (sun at

highest point - no shadow) until the night, stone all three Jamraat, 21 required per day. Facing first Jamraat (smallest), with Makkah to your left and Mina to your right, throw each of the 7 stones at Jamraat As-Soughra and reciting Allahu Akbar, Allah is Great.

➢ After stoning first Jamraat, then, calmly proceed to 2nd (middle one) Jamraat and then the Third one.

Step11: 13th of Dhul Hajjah Farewell Tawaaf (Tawaaf Widaa): Before leaving Makkah perform the farewell Tawaaf as last act. The pilgrim is allowed to do everything, which was previously restricted due to Ihram Hajj Mabroor: The Prophet said: "There is no reward for an accepted hajj (mabroor) except Paradise." [al-Bukhari and Muslim]
