People spend an estimated 90% of their time indoors.

2

Indoor air pollution has been ranked as one of the top four environmental risks

Research Justifications IUG is located between several streets that characterized of the traffic crowded in the city

The interruption of electric current made the university to depend heavily on electrical generators

3

Checking the impact of these elements on the employees

AIM AND OBJECTIVES

4

Determining the levels of )CO), )CO2( inside the IUG rooms.

Assessment of indoor thermal comfort.

Methodology

Data measurements, were connected with the (IUG) room's at different floor at different time (8:30 am,

11:30 pm, 2:30 pm) In the winter and summer

Questionnaire design, to find out the extent of indoor environmental impacts on the employees

CONCLUSIONThe following conclusions were drawn from the

results of this study:

80% of the IUG employees feel with thermal comfort inside their office in winter

and summer.

There is a negative correlation between CO2 concentration and ventilation rate.

16

There are statistically differences between CO2 concentration according to season, and

the best measurements were in summer where the average is 602.86 ppm.

17

Respiration is an essential source for CO2

The offices that depend on air conditioning have the highest CO2 concentration than others

which use natural ventilation methods.

18

There is health effects associated with high CO2.

RECOMMENDATIONS

Regular and periodical monitoring of CO2 and CO gases should be done.

CO2 concentration should be adopted to check for any IAQ problems related toventilation system.

19

Providing Detector equipment of CO2 gas in the departments in whichCO2 measurements exceeds the allowable extent, in order to prevent exposing the employees to high and dangerous proportion.

20

To reduce using generators and dependence on clean energy or transmitting them to a place away from the university buildings to avoid their gases .

Airing rooms and renewing air in the morning before initiating work inside themto get rid of accumulated gases during night.
