Introduction

The main problem of people touched by this disability is that they have big difficulties to find their way. So we had to try to step into their shoes to understand their special needs.

We noticed that in Sweden it seems that much more care is put into making accessibility easier.

It is also true in small towns like Hällefors.

Remark: The Blinds National Organization in Sweden come once a year to control installations, shops just to see if there's improvements to be made.

Physical accessibility

- Differences in structure between the road and the pavement.- Wide curbs.

- Different colors on the floors in the library. - Signs with big letters. - Automatic doors.

Social accessibility -

-The shop employees are very available, helpful

Psychological accessibility

-There is not much traffic, it helps to make the place reassuring- the ribbon development of the city is a simpler urban form that helps orientation

- Many signs (photo)- color marks (the elevator)

- Nothing to notify on obstacles on the pavement. - Different structure on the pavement without any signification.

- Nothing to notify if there’s temporary obstacles, like construction stands.
