Count Antun Janković in 1771. named this town Daruvar, (daru=crane in Hungarian).
This was his castle.
In front of the castle of count Jankovich there are two Ginkgo biloba trees, a male and a female, originally
from China.
The trees in Daruvar are the oldest and largest in Croatia and the second oldest in Europe.
Church of the Holy Trinity was built in 1764.
Since 1840. our brewery is producing beer based upon old Czech recipes.
Today, Daruvar is the most beautiful little town in Croatia.
Daruvar has got new indoor and outdoor poolsand a new fountain.
.. and a new school.
Naked Maja is a famous sculpture made by Augustin Augustinčić.
This is our home town.
