The wrestler• The next film he created was The Wrestler, a film about an old

wrestler who was told he could never wrestle again, trying to carry on with his life.

Black swan• Black swan is the closest thing to requiem for a dream and PI.

As it is much more about the leads descent into madness than the other films.

Use of sound and music• He uses sound effects of things that are not currently on

screen.• The music that he uses fit in with the theme of the story and

Symbols and Representations• Many, if not all of Aronofskys films have a lot of symbols and

representations. Like in black swan, there is a mirror in nearly every scene, this represents her split personality that she develops through the film

Story's• Aronofsky tends to use a story of someone's descent into

madness.• Pi, Requiem for a dream, the fountain, the wrestler, Black

Swan and Noah all have a similar theme with the main characters personality's changing throughout the film.

• All the lead characters have hopes and dreams that end up being their downfall and leading them to destruction.
