Cynthia Rylant was bornin Hopewell, WV
When she was 4 she was taken to live withher grandparents.
They lived in very rusticsituations. They didn’teven have electric, butthey had lots of love.
She attended MorrisHarvey College for herBachelors degree, andMarshall University forher Masters.
She got married and got her first job at theCabell County Library in Huntington,WV. That’s where she found her love ofchildren’s books.
She is now a children’sbook author and haspublished over 100children’s book.
