Overview of Fruit Production

Fruit crops can be grouped into two:

Fruit produced all year round (e.g Banana,

Guava, Coconut, etc.)

Seasonal fruit (e.g Mango, Cashew nut, Durain,

Dragon fruit etc.)

Fruit production mainly targeted for domestic

consumption

Mango, Plum, Watermelon and Muskmelon are

exported to China by means of border trade
