Help Desk System and Service Upgrades
In response to concerns expressed by the community about system performance, CMS has increased the
capacity of the CROWNWeb system by 33%. This additional capacity is intended to speed up the system
and minimize system errors related to capacity. Additionally, in an effort to expedite response times to
inquiries and reduce time callers spend on hold, the QualityNet Help Desk staff has been increased by 40%.
Resolving Common Issues
When contacting the QualityNet Help Desk, please note that you can leave a voice mail message or simply
send an e-mail, and the QualityNet Help Desk will return your inquiry in the order in which it was received.
It is important to remember that users can resolve many common issues without the involvement of the
QualityNet Help Desk. These include:
– Password Resets - Your local Security Official (SO) can reset your password.
– Role and Scope - Local Facility Administrators in CROWNWeb must provide roles and/or scope to
end users.
– Two-Factor Authentication (TFA) Codes - If you are not receiving TFA codes in a timely manner,
you can log in to the QIMS system and alter your profile to receive these notifications in a different
manner. E-mail or Cell Phone (text message) is recommended.
Call OCT at xxx-xxx-xxxx for CROWNWeb data entry questions or
email CRAFT@projectcrownweb.org for a response.

clinical, updating facility information?
– A: The facility is responsible for entering data into CROWNWeb.

– A: If all data is not in CROWNWeb, the data will have to be reentered into CROWNWeb

Security
QIMS The QualityNet Identity Management
System (QIMS) is an identity authorization
and management system to control and
manage access to key government
information systems, such as CROWNWeb.
QIMS provides tiered levels of account
access and management. In CROWNWeb,
Security Officials (SO) and End User
Managers (EUM) authorize and manage
access to CROWNWeb at their facility
using the QIMS system.
CROWNWeb CROWNWeb controls the role and scope for
each user. Each user must have a role which
provides access to each module within
CROWNWeb, and scope which assigns the
facilities a user can access.
