New Student Orientation
Welcome to Johnston Community College! We understand that this transition may be both exciting and challenging as you look forward to
your first semester of college. As a new student you have many questions. Attending your new student orientation is the first step in
answering these questions.
It is the College's expectation that new students attend orientation. As such, we have planned a three-part orientation that will introduce you
to JCC academic programs, the campus, resources and services. We are confident that we can help you get a great start to a successful
experience at JCC, and we want to help you lay the foundation for your success in the future.
Again, congratulations on choosing Johnston Community College. We look forward to meeting and helping you learn about your College. Our
goal is to provide you with an excellent educational experience with the ultimate goal of completing your degree and preparing for a
successful career.
Participants:
The following students are expected to attend Spring 2015 orientation:
All new students in curriculum programs, including those who are required to attend program-specific orientations
Graduates of Early College Academy and Middle College HS who are enrolling in JCC
Returning JCC students who have been unenrolled for more than one year
Dates:
Please choose ONE date to attend orientation.

Tuesday, January 6, 2015 Friday, January 2, 2015 by 2pm
Wednesday, January 7, 2015 Friday, January 2, 2015 by 2pm

perfect program of study, learn from knowledgeable instructors, get support from dedicated staff, and connect with other students.
Your first step is learn how to become a student. Choose the type of student you will be and follow your step-by-step guide to completing
your admission requirements and preparing to attend class. Begin the process early so you will have everything in place for the start of the
semester!
Financial aid is an important part of becoming a college student, and we want to help you find the resources you need. It's crucial to complete
your FAFSA right after applying to JCC. Check our financial aid website to explore all your financial aid options, find steps to completing
financial aid, FAQs, and other relevant information.

Campus Life
Johnston Community College caters to all aspects of the student experience, both inside and outside of the classroom. Our campus offers a
wide variety of experiences and support services to give students an opportunity to grow.
Whether participating in NJCAA intercollegiate athletics, using one of our many campus computer labs, or eating lunch in the Jaguar Grill,
our students are finding their place at Johnston Community College.
