Crazy Makeup Art http://likes.com/beauty/crazy-makeup-art?page=15 #1 Photographer, Jade Martin Are you reminded of Batman's seductive villain and eco-terrorist, Poison Ivy? This fiery redhead isn't sporting botanic greenery, but instead fauna. Photographer Jade Martin's inventory is usually dominated by decadent goth fashions, so this is not his ordinary but is extraordinary.

#2 Gothic Uni-brows We're wondering if the lacy design above the brow is a decal? Different Goths express their styles through the techniques and colours of their makeup. The red and black palette may be harsh and a contrast to the popular "Soft Goth" look, but it's bewitching when framed with the fair hair.

#3 The Face As Sculpture Don't you love it when makeup artists are inspired to use the shape of the face to enhance their works? Notice how the model's chin, jawline and nose point downwards into a V-shape while emphasizing the winged makeup applied to the eyes? It's creating an illusion of an upward movement and is simply gorgeous!

#4 Transformer Makeup This image is one of the more simple styling examples of New York photograher, Alexandra Leroy. It's wonderfully hard-edged and graphic utilizing the paper Origami head and neck pieces. Talented fashon-beauty photographers capture the face like landscapes and Leroy is one of the best.

#5 Lost In Space Makeup artist, Dina Day from Vancouver, Canada, utilizes airbrushing to get the effect of smooth blended colors. When this painting method is used on the body, it can appear like "skintight" clothing. Does it appear like the model is wearing a galactic face mask?

#6 Paper Eyelashes Notice the false paper lashes applied above and below the real lash line? Valeria Lukyanova dubbed the "Human Barbie Doll" and "Real-life Anime Girl", Anastasiya Shpagina use this trick to enlarge the look of their eyes. It seems to be catching on in the fashion editorial world as well.

#7 Happy Zebra Doesn't she make you smile?! We love that she's smiling back too! Although the model's face is much flatter than that of a Zebra's, the artist executed an amazing job! Unlike the film, "Splice", where human-animal hybrids become evil and terrorizes people, this Zebra-woman emulates simple delight.

#8 Goldfinger Can't Touch This! Photographer, Yulia Gorbachenko's series of female fashion is lux from head to toe, a decadent nouveau baroque! Gold eye-powder is used to cover the entire skin and one can't help but think of James Bond's secretary who died from asphyxiation after being covered with gold paint in Goldfinger! We love the hint of blue above the eyes, it's otherworldly.

#9 Asymetrics That "one-eye" catches our attention, but don't forgot to look at the other eye! It can throw you off hiding under that pink silk-flower veil. This gorgeous design by Rebeca Saray Gude, a makeup artist living in Madrid, Spain can be seen in detail on the net.

#10 Alex Box, Makeup Artist II Animated drama stunningly drawn with black eyeliner! We believe this work is amazing even while seen at a distance, and therefore it's perfect worn for a night out! Alex Box must've been thinking of the vintage cartoons starring coquettish, Betty Bop.

#11 Flower-Powered Eyes Pop Art is the flavor here with silk-flower petals used as eyelashes! There's loads of creativity going on in the makeup industry with new false eyelash materials, but did you know you can easily make you own? Everything from feathers to cut-up paper can be DIY-ed and glued onto fluttering eyelids!

#12 Alex Box, Makeup Artist I New body modifications for aesthetic reasons question, "what is beauty"? In Japan, a trend called 'bagel head' is created by inserting saline under the skin causing welts that are not too dissimilar to this design. Could "beauty" as we know it, be slowly turning upside down?

#13 The Animal Within We all want to be heroic like the Avatar's Na'vi. Yes it's true, and that admiration goes alongside her exotic tiger stripes and sultry good looks! Here 'Make Up For Ever' artists channel Na'vi, and their inner animal at IMATS.

#14 Dia de los Muertos It's glorious to celebrate our ancestors! Many cultures share in this ritual, but here we have a fashion tribute for the Mexican holiday, 'Day of the Dead' (Dia de los Muertos). We love this pre-Columbian tradition that happens once a year in November!

#15 A Transhuman World We exist in a Transhuman world with our reliance on machine and powered energy. There's no better expression of this other than Illmasqua's futuristic fashions! Here they've utilized Body Electrics' makeup inspired by, "kinetic energy and the fluidity of the body in motion."
