Take charge with a career in facilities management, working with a staff to ensure a business or other facility’s systems work together to provide a stable, comfortable, and safe environment for its occupants. Facility managers must understand both the technical and managerial side of maintenance, find solutions for difficult problems, and provide helpful services to individuals using the spaces under their management.

About Collin College’s Program The Collin College Facilities Management program prepares students to enter the workforce as entry-level employees in the field of facilities management. Students in this program will learn about Occupational Safety and Health Technology standards, blueprint reading, construction, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing fundamentals. In addition, students will become familiar with project management, problem solving, and decision making.
