Roanoke College

Search to Pay – Online Deposits

Simple Transaction Processing (STP) – Alumni Roanoke has interfaced with OPC via STP to create multiply interfaces allowing Roanoke to add events, fund raising channels and more easily with out the need to even contact OPC to add these functions. They control the front end pages send OPC an XML, OPC does the Approval/ Decline and sends a response back via XML to update the database.

Official Payments was an easy implementation for Roanoke College. We can upgrade our network, upgrade our servers, load patches and upgrade WebAdvisor and it does not break. Because of functionality, Roanoke College has been able to use official payment’s e-commerce within many of our web applications. Roanoke College loves our partnership with Official Payments and would highly recommend.

Berklee utilizes the Blind Pay option for Summer Programs, they have an extensive summer program that they did not want to charge a convience fee for this group of students. This has been in place for about 3 years and by all accounts is very effective.

Berklee is currently expanding with Official Payments with the Active Admissions Datatel Interface, as well creating a Misc Application and Performance Program that will utilize IPayConnectExpress.

Northwood currently has two applications , one for camps and the second allows for student behind the Blackboard portal to pay for parking tickets, load Student ID card.

Both Application utilize IPayConnectExpress

Northwood University also have forms in the works for outside vendors to buy advertisements in the school newspaper and for students to purchase their yearbooks.

Within WebAdvisor, Datatel’s web presence, we have also built out a process that allows students to pay their commit deposit online, that will be going live this fall.

This form allows the parent to sign their child up for volleyball camp and pay either by credit card or electronic check, which is then processed by Official Payments.

Northwood also have an online validation form that the student accesses from our Blackboard portal. It allows the student to pay for the parking permit and put extra money on their student ID card and then process the payment through Official Payments

University of the Sciences in Philadelphia

No Login Third Party Payment for Tuition, Dining Dollars, and All Campus Accounts

Ferrilli Information Group in Partnership with the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia developed an online payment solution to accept third party payment for Tuition, Dining Dollars, and All Campus Accounts. This application was built using OPC’s I-Pay Connect Express.

Parents are driven to the payment page through various methods to pay tuition or to add money to a student’s dining dollars, or all campus account.

No information is stored on USP’s servers all information is processed by OPC Daily a file is retrieved via FTP by USP which has all the information on successfully

Custom Development

The Ferrilli Information Group Parent Module is a customization to WebAdvisor that allows students to authorize parents to access their WebAdvisor account. Once parents are authorized, they can utilize any WebAdvisor workflow that you have enabled for students of your choosing. A number of institutions have decided to limit parent access to financial workflows such as view a student’s bill and make a payment.

The parent’s version of the make a payment screen is slightly modified for parents but has all the same functionality of a student’s make a payment screen.

Official Payments Search for Pay Application for Tuition Deposits

Overview Official Payments has a web application called "Search to Pay" that allows

you to FTP records of outstanding payments in a Comma Separated Value (CSV) file which can be accessed by using a unique identifier by the party being billed.

University of the Sciences in Philadelphia in Partnership with Ferrilli Information Group (FIG) utilized Search to Pay for accepting tuition deposits on-line.

FIG developed an Envision program to create a Comma Separated Value (CSV) file of all accepted students with a unique confirmation code. Once the file is generated the program then delivers the file to OPC via FTP.

A file with the confirmation codes are generate for the Admission’s office to generate E-Mails and Postcards directing accepted students to the site.
