• Important to “plug in” using your ethernet cable – why? Because updates can take place faster. Wireless is less stable.

• If experiencing trouble with your computer, shut down (with it plugged in with ethernet cable)

File Management

• Your Name– Folders such as pictures,

music, documents– Inside each of these are

folders with documents– Organize like you would

files at your desk – Search function is

awesome

What is PDF and Why Use It?

• PDF makes it impossible for people to change your document.

• What you should do when you e-mail parents a document or put on SWIFT

• Doesn’t show formatting

• File to print to PDF (and then you need to give your document a name)

• In this instance “print to PDF” is the same as “save as” only it changes the document type from anything to PDF.
