In this school, but over the years, students from West Island School from Hong Kong have

not only built this nursery…

but new toilets, a medical room, a library and a new set of classrooms. This year they are

extending and refurbishing the canteen, raising a total of over US$35 000 since 2004

Dormitories

Critical to reduce absenteeism

Since 2004, international schools have contributed about US$275 000

and undertaken almost 100 projects…but there is a far wider

‘knock-on’ effect

sponsorship for local students

and providing funding to maintain music and dance in local schools, assisted by the

UK based charity, Musequality

The Summer Gap Programme

The aim is for you to make a difference to:-

• Schools and students in the north of Thailand

• And to your university application!!!!!

Outline Programme• Three day ‘crash course’ in teaching English, plus

activities at the outdoor centre• A total of 14 days teaching or construction / refurbishment

work, with plenty of options for sports and other activities• A guided weekend visit to Chiang Mai• A weekend hiking and biking in Fha Hom Pok National

Park• A final expedition down the Maekok River…a journey to

include camping, kayaking, long-tailed boats, an elephant ride and a visit to the Golden Triangle before a final night in Chiang Rai
