The Colour WheelIndicates Primary, tertiary & secondary colours.

Complementary coloursPairs of colours that are in the same colour model. Colours that are grouped together because they resemble each other and uniformly compliment one

another.

Here are some examples of complementary colours…

Monochromatic colourBlack and white. Makes an image appear more peaceful and subtle due to

lack of contrast.

Pastel ColoursColours that are paler than ususal. It creates a

softer feel.
