There is a growing consensus worldwide that system transformation, not school improvement, is the necessary response, but the implications of this have not been widely understood or accepted and the roadmap to this new system has yet to be developed. The outcomes of system transformation have been

described as C21st learning, Next Generation Learning or, in line with the development of the Web, as Education 3.0

Helayne: here I think you can talk about what we needed to prepare in advance and share while we were in Brazil. This roadmap and the next slide with the key questions for our breakout session. I think that if you can explain the purpose of a roadmap and that this is the one we prepared for Brazil but we have a new one that we are working on and will finalize with our local leadership team in Feb.

Questions

How will we ensure our current reform efforts propel us toward our Education 3.0 vision and how will we eliminate practices & strategies not aligned with the future direction?

How have other countries developed their technological infrastructure to expand digital learning access for all students regardless of geographic location?

What are you doing in your jurisdiction related to pedagogy, technology, and workforce development that could help us achieve our vision for Education 3.0?

How do we build momentum and public support to realize the new vision?
