On December 20th, After the Home and Fam-
ily Awards at Pikes Peak #143. There was a
silent Auction for Wreaths that were made
and donated in a decorating contest for Chari-
ty. The Winning bidder of each wreath was
allowed to choose from a list of Eagle Chari-
ties to have the money donated to. Sandi
Moyle, and my Mom, Jean Transmeier en-
tered into a literal bidding war, but in the end,
Sandi was the high bidder on this Bronco
Wreath. She then announced that the money
would go to State Worthy Presidents Special
Project, C.A.S.A., then she made an an-
nouncement that she was then Giving the wreath to the State Worthy President for
Christmas. The High Bid on that wreath was $80, and in all Duane’s Special Project
raised $180 for C.A.S.A. GREAT JOB GUYS. And Congratulations Duane!!

LETTER FROM THE STATE WORTHY PRESIDENT
Brothers and Sisters,
Well the holidays are over and we are
embarking on a brand new year, 2015,
that seems crazy. We had a wonderful
Christmas, sharing the day with our
family and friends and if you’re curi-
ous I must have been pretty good last
year as Santa and his elves took care
of your SWP. I was extremely pleased
to be able to have the extended Christ-
mas time with my family as I hope all
of you were able to enjoy as well.
I was very proud to be able to attend
the fund raiser that East Side Aerie/
Auxiliary #3260 put on for Braden
Kerwick, a 5 year old fighting All
Leukemia on the 6th of December. The
crowd was fantastic, lots of foods, mu-
sic, raffles, chances to donate and San-
ta and Mrs Claus were also in attend-
ance. Not only did the brothers and
sisters of #3260 do a wonderful thing
in helping young Braden Kerwick but
they were able to receive some well
deserved television coverage that
helps let the public know about our
organization and they also had people
who asked to join the Eagles, wanting
to be part of a group that promotes
“People Helping People.” The next
day found us at Pikes Peak #143 as the
Auxiliary celebrated their anniversary.
It was fun getting the chance to see my
Eagle family, exchange Christmas
cards and wish everyone happy holi-
days. I really have to remember to in-
troduce Shirley when I attend these
functions because my wallet gets
lighter when I don’t. But it goes to a
good cause, SMP Timmie Torres’ spe-
cial project Mount Saint Vincent.
Speaking of special projects I want to
thank everyone that has raised monies
for my special project C A S A –
Court Appointed Special Advocates.
With hundreds of cases in most of the
counties throughout our state C A S A
is a wonderful organization that trains
volunteers to serve as a child's voice in
court, when the child is a victim of
abuse or neglect. As you know I am
all about family and the children that
need C A S A want what most of us
have, loving families. Please, please
help us help them by putting on a fund
raiser at your Aerie because every dol-
lar helps. Please contact my special
Project Chairman Steve Traini @ 719-
351-1129 to let him know of your
event or if you have any questions
about C A S A. Thanks again for all of
your efforts.
Looking forward to seeing you this month as we help celebrate anniver-saries at Florence #169 on the 10th, Grand Junction #595 on the 17th and Pueblo West # 4471 on the 24th. Re-member, All Worthy Eagles Shall Offer More Engagement – thanks for being Awesome and hope to see you on the Eagle trail.
Fraternally, Duane T DeBord

Letter from the State Madam President
Auxiliary Corner Sisters,
Believe it or not, it is now the
end of December 2014. Our De-
cember started with us going to
Pikes Peak #143. What a won-
derful and fun Anniversary. The
food that was prepared by our
Aeirie Brothers was excellent
(Chicken Enchiladas). I had a
very famous “Star” come to the
Social Room in the form of a
Christmas Present. What a nice
surprise, I love Elvis. The meet-
ing was well attended and
brought together in regular
form. After the meeting cake
and coffee was served. At this
time I would like to thank all of
the Sisters for the Christmas
Presents, cards, candy, scarves,
socks and money for my Special
Project, Mount Saint Vicnent
Home for abused Children. Betty
Schull… I will be saving the wine
for that Special Day.
I am sure everyone is done with
their Christmas Shopping and
have braved the lines at the gro-
cery stores. If you are going out
for the Celebration of the New
Year, please be careful and drive
safely.
Hopefully I will see you at Flor-
ence #169 for their Joint Anni-
versary. The next week we will
be in Grand Junction and ending
the month at Pueblo West.
To those who are ill, my thoughts
and prayers are with you.
Bundle up and stay warm, drive
carefully and may God Bless each
and everyone of you.
Fraternally,
Timmie Torres

President
