PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Well our last few weeks have really seen the students settle into learning. All classes have now
established routines and seem to be engaged in their tasks. This week we commenced our support groups for Reading and also our Kitchen/Garden program.
Many thanks to all our school community that supported our Swimming Carnival. It was a great success
with many students really showing the dispositions of persistence and the confidence to ‘have-a-go’ at many events.
Last week the very warm afternoon for our Meet the Teacher night saw some sessions poorly attended.
I hope all parents received the handout from the teachers. Remember the teachers are happy to meet with parents, but please make contact and set up an appointment time.
Please ensure you read important messages below if you have a Year 5 or 6 student. It is time to start planning for the future for Year 5/6.

Congratulations to the many students who participated in the school swimming carnival at Helensburgh
on Friday 8th February. I was most impressed with the determination, persistence, skill and
sportsmanship that was displayed by our students. A huge thank you to the parents who assisted with
timekeeping and other duties on the day. Our carnival would not have been possible without your help.
Students who finished 1st or 2nd in an event or who are one of the four fastest 50m freestyle swimmers
in one of the following divisions: Junior Boys (8-10), Junior Girls (8-10), Senior Boys (11-12), Senior Girls
