With our dedication to developing CNC turning centers
for the past 35 years, I am proud to say that Goodway not
only is the leading manufacturer of machine tools in Taiwan
but also is well-known in 45 countries around the world. This
expansive achievement not only is a honor to us but also a
promise to our customers. In the future, we will constantly
provide machines with latest technologies and quality
services to our customers. “To satisfy our customers is the
goal we always pursue”.
During the Great Recession last year, we still strived to
build new machines and are pleased to introduce new
models including Magazine Type 5-axis Turning Centers,
Twin Spindles & Turrets Multi-tasking Turning Centers, Large
Vertical Turning Centers, Full Series Swiss Turning and
Horizontal Turning Centers for car rims. Besides our well
received software applications such as the G-LINC ( With
remote monitoring, load monitoring, real-time sensor
monitoring and intelligent servo tailstock control functions ),
we have also released the new 3D Animated Simulation and
Dynamic Collision Avoidance system to ful�ll customers’
needs for high-class machine tools.
This year we will be expanding our capacity in order to
meet the demanding growth for machine tools throughout
the world. Our new factory in Chiayi Dapumei Intelligent
Industrial Park (southern Taiwan) and Wujiang, China will be
opened in year 2011. We hope with our dedication and
loyalty to the machinery industry that we can continuously
gain trust and support from our customers.

Mechanical Design
By using 3D CAD software to compose mechanical designs and
FEM ( Finite Element Methods ) to perform CAE ( Computer Aided
Engineering ) analysis, we are able to develop the most optimum
machine tools.
With continuous Research and Development as our commitment and technology leadership as our goal, over 20% of the entire sta� is composed
of our R&D team ( R&D, Electrical, and Mechanical Department ). And 70% of the R&D members either have a domestic or a foreign Mechanical
Engineering master’s degree, while having more than three years of practical experience to provide the foundation for technical innovation.
Our Remote Message Function is a Goodway
designed 2 way message & alarm system with
arti�cial intelligence HMI. With the use of a GSM
modem, messages & alarms can be sent to any
designated phone number to advise the
recipient of the situation.
The Goodway designed 3D animated simulation program is an e�ective
tool for program prove-out, interference and collision problems.
The servo tailstock control function
provides easy setup for the work pieces. By
using our user-friendly interface, users can
easily adjust the position, power and
speed settings of the tailstock.
With Load Monitor active, the operator
can monitor the cutting load conditions
of a machining cycle and also set alarms
for tool wear and brakeage.
Our Electrical Dept. has devoted to develop ground breaking and be spoken
software applications, including PLC ( Programmable Logic Controller ),
HMI ( Interactive Humanity Mechanical Interface ), Process Application
Software, and Arti�cial Intelligence Communicative Monitor System to
promote the machine’s adaptability.
Together with a live tooling turret, the C-axis can perform
contour milling interpolation, axial o� center drilling, and
tapping operations. Two types of C-axis are available; high
dynamic precision Cf-axis and high static precision Cs-axis.

need for interpolation.
B-axisMachines combined with B-axis, live
tooling turret, C-axis, and Y-axis are aimed
at OEMs and subcontractors who wish to
produce sophisticated and high-valued
components in a single set-up.
With more than 10 years of live tooling turret
manufacturing experience, Goodway’s product
range has brought together milling, drilling,
turning and tapping operations in one
machine. The driven tool turrets have made
one-hit machining possible.

With years of experience in turning technology and CAM software,
our engineering application team not only is responsible for machine
performance testing but also provides consultant service and parts
process analysis, enabling our customers to �nd the right machine.
Engineering and Application of Turning Technology
All Goodway products must pass performance tests such as optimum
parameter validation, spectrum analysis, circularity test, positioning
accuracy, and heavy cutting test to ensure maximum performance of
the machine. These outputs are also used as a reference for enhancing
new model developments.

Final machining is done in-house with high-end equipments including
TOSHIBA 5-face bridge type machining center and MITSUI SEIKI
horizontal machining centers.
Goodway utilizes top-end measuring and
balancing instruments such as ZEISS 3D
measuring system and BL high precision
dynamic balancer to ensure high
accuracy for critical parts.
Goodway’s tri-core units, main spindles, turrets, and tailstocks, are assembled by our skilled
labors using gauges and instruments to assure endurance, stability, and quality of the product.
Top grade casting components are aged for up to six months to
ensure maximum structural stability.

Using NSK GN gauges for our
double-row, cylindrical roller,
spindle bearing helps promote the
accuracy in the assembly.
We use Japan made parts such as NSK super high precision spindle bearings, linear ways, SUDA gears
and curvic couplings, FANUC control and motors, and KITAGAWA cylinders and chucks, to assure
superb durability, performance and accuracy of the machines we manufacture.

Core Elements
Main spindle collars are precision �nished with
OKAMOTO’s surface grinding machines for
maximum precision.
The test run in our spindles automatically monitors the speed, time, and
temperature to ensure the running quality once �tted into the machines.
Spindles are balanced in-house together with
pulleys to ensure ultra-smooth performance.
Goodway prides itself in its superior and sophisticated
manufacturing quality for all of its products, from individual
assemblies such as main spindles and turrets to the �nished
machines. This is accomplished by the use of quality and
accurate equipments in the manufacturing process and the
expertise of its workforce.

Goodway Central Taiwan Science Park Branch, is the headquarters of Goodway’s global manufacturing and sales. Occupying more than 26,000
square meters and valuing up to 17.6 million US dollars, our output has been increased to 250 machines each month. With the advantage of modern
equipments, outstanding employees and ISO 9001 and ISO 14000 regulations, a reduction in cycle time has been achieved enabling maximum
production and promoting a real increase in both income and quality.

Before leaving the assembly line, all machines must pass critical testing including laser inspection, ball bar inspection, actual cutting tests
and more. Furthermore, all machines undergo preprogrammed test runs of 48 hours or more before shipment.
All machines production is completed by

conscientious standard production rule.

The standard platform �atness conforms to CNS 7549,
B6048 0 standards, X-axis resolution up to 6 μm /

multi-tasking turning center. This hybrid has the combination of
Goodway’s exquisite techniques ( X, Y, Z, C axes and live tooling

TWIN SPINDLES & TURRETSTURNING CENTERThe GTS-201 series is a machine with high efficiency,
multi-tasking capabilities. The twin built-in spindles with
upper / lower turrets structure gives you high accuracy and
excellent balancing of turning power. The upper and lower
turret can simultaneously work on the same side of the work
piece which saves a tremendous amount of time. It can also be
paired with an optional loading / unloading system to save
manpower and cycle time for mass production.
High Precision Built-in SpindleThe main and sub-spindle modules are equipped with cylindrical roller
bearings which are better than angular contact bearings. The main spindle is
installed with a built-in spindle motor which eliminates power loss and belt
slipping problems. The C-axis with high resolution magnetic encoder
provides high precision contour machining capability.
The ground box guideways combined with roller
linear guideways ( 2nd spindle & 2nd turret )
provides high speed, high rigidity cutting power.
Double low center of gravity slant bed deign provides 30% more
rigidity than average slant beds.
The machining area is designed with a 60˚ slant
bed for easy access and chip disposal while
eliminating heat effects.
The X / Y axes are adopted with high-rigidity, extra-wide box
way design to provide solid foundation for heavy-duty cutting.
The Z2 / Zs axes are adopted with high-speed, high-precision
roller linear guideway design to increase work piece overall
accuracy and maintain excellent cutting rigidity.

The low center of gravity 45° slant bed is of
FC35 Meehanite casting which provides full
support for the twin spindles and twin turrets.
The twin spindles have identical
bar capacities and are equipped
with FANUC Alpha Pi servo motor
which can easily perform
acceleration / deceleration cutting.
When the work piece is moved from H1 to H2,
both spindles can work independently. This
high performance machine is designed to
replace two turning centers which can save
�oor space with high automation capabilities.
With the twin-spindle structure, long work
pieces are balanced under various cutting
conditions. H2 can support the work piece while
Turret #1 is applying the drilling operation.

With the use of loading/ unloading system, the GTS
series is turned into a high-e�ciency automation
turning center. From work piece transfer to parts
�nishing, all can be done in one single set up saving
manpower and cycle time, while reducing accuracy
lost, which will occur if manually handling the part
from one machine to another.
With the advanced twin spindles and twin turrets construction,
we designed the GTS series to process one work piece through
one machine setup that usually has to be done on several
machines. It not only saves in-between operation times and
manpower, but also reduces the positioning error when the
part is carried from one machine to another. The GTS-260XY
series equipped with double Y-axis, combining the features of
two turning centers with one machining center, is the
expertise of cutting complex parts efficiently.

The high rigidity, high rotation accuracy cross
roller bearing can sustain radial, axial and torque

Spindle can be exchange to be bush type or bushless type which is depend on di�erent work
requirements.
The bush type is with guide bush which is direct drive by servo motor and this kind direct drive
system can be rotate with high speed which can less surface damage and e�cient increase
working performance.
The bushless design which is suitable for machining cold forge bar and the remain bar can be less
than 50 mm to save material cost.
