ANZAC DAY
Today is about teaching our children of our past heroes, about how they stood tall and brave in a time of darkness. We taught the children about mateship and uniting to help one another. Today we came to Kindy in our military clothing to acknowledge and respect the memory of our fallen heroes for ANZAC DAY.
The children slept in the “army barracks” and pretended to cook in the “mess area” preparing meals for the soldiers, manipulating equipment to make different rations. The children worked in partnership to make some delicious ANZAC biscuits which they enjoyed for afternoon tea.
