• Thin and wispy in appearance.

• Blown into streamers by high winds.

• Usually move across the sky from west to east.

• Generally mean pleasant weather.

• Very fluffy clouds.

• Base is usually a straight line.

• Clouds may sometimes only be 330 feet above the ground.

• Grow from the bottom up.

• May later develop into a thunderstorm cloud.

• Form when cumulous clouds continue to form vertically

• Dark bases maybe no higher than 300 feet above the ground.

• Lightning, thunder, and even violent tornadoes are associated with the cumulonimbus.
