CHRISTMAS Yule is Scottish for Christmas. It was celebrated by Celtic
pagans.. Christmas Day only became a
public holiday in 1958, and Boxing Day in 1974.The New Year's Eve festivity, Hogmanay, was the largest celebration in Scotland. The gift-giving, holidays winter were traditionally held between the 11th of December and 6 January.
Scottish Christmas meal Christmas dinner in Scotland is usually eaten in
the afternoon. The traditional Christmas dinner of Scotland
includes roast turkey or goose, and sometimes cranberry sauce poured on the turkey with roast vegetables(usually boiled ) with dessert of Christmas pudding , sometimes mince pies or trifle.
